There are so many good songs about love. Mostly they are ones about romantic love. True love is more than roses and candy hearts. True love is true sacrifice.
Are there people in your life you do not like, much less love? Did you know God wants us to love everyone?It's true! Those people in the news lately known as ISIS certainly do not love Christians and Jews and are out to kill us but our response, besides caution, is to be to pray wholeheartedly for them. Don't hate back. That is what the devil wants and Muslims can be won to Jesus. You might have to intentionally pray for your enemies. That is what God wants us to do. In Matthew 5:44 it says"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,". Tall order you say? Try it.
Today and every day try to make it a new normal to pray for those people in your life who may rub you the wrong way or whom you may have a personality clash with or worse yet, someone who ignores and hates you. See if you do not feel better and your heart feels lighter as a result.
PRAYER: I want to love all people Lord but I confess some of the enemies of America who even live in America make me angry. I need your strength and Holy Spirit living inside me to love like you love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
